the sensor. Just be sure seal/shrink wrap those connections since the sensor is in a location that's pretty exposure to water, etc. Not like that sensor needs to be removed all that often....
2nd option is similar to above -- remove the body of the connector altogether, crimp/solder new connectors to wire ends and press fit them onto sensor. Again - just need to make sure everything is well sealed against moisture -- Home Depot even carries brush-on (liquid) wire sealer.
